Ownership Center

Yours remains yours. Ours remains ours. What passes between us does so deliberately.

Composium is built around a simple ownership boundary.

You may bring material into a composition. Composium may provide the instrument through which that material is listened to, structured, composed, resolved, and conducted.

Crossing that boundary does not silently transfer ownership in either direction.

Your composition does not become Composium’s because it entered the instrument. Composium’s instrument does not become yours because you used it.

1. Your Composition

What you bring into Composium remains yours to the extent that you hold rights in it.

This includes the material you deliberately submit and the composition that results from working with that material through the instrument.

Using Composium does not, by itself, assign your material, your composition, your identity, your future work, or your underlying rights to Composium.

Where other people hold rights in material you submit, those rights remain theirs.

A composition may therefore contain material whose ownership is not exclusively yours. Using Composium does not change that.

2. The Instrument

Composium retains its rights in the instrument through which the composition is conducted.

This includes, where protected by law:

Your ownership of your composition does not transfer ownership of the instrument.

Your access to the instrument does not create administrative, source-code, replication, derivative, or redistribution rights unless Composium expressly grants them.

3. The Crossing

A crossing is not an ownership transfer merely because something moves.

Input may enter the instrument. A resolved composition may become a Card. A Card may be released. A Card may be saved, sent, referenced, copied, offered, or otherwise conducted through an explicit route.

None of those actions silently change who owns the underlying material.

Movement and ownership are different questions.
Permission and ownership are different questions.
Custody and ownership are different questions.
Payment and ownership are different questions.
Access and ownership are different questions.

A deliberate crossing authorizes only the movement or relationship that crossing actually creates.

4. The Card

A Composium Card is the portable form of a resolved composition.

It may carry Tone, Composition, Conduct, provenance, or other bounded information produced through the composition.

The Card is designed to leave the runtime. The runtime does not travel with it.

Releasing or sharing a Card does not automatically transfer ownership of the underlying composition.

Possessing a Card is not custody of it. Custody is not ownership of it. Each is a separate, deliberate relationship to the same object.

Receiving a Card does not automatically give the recipient rights to reproduce, commercialize, alter, train on, republish, or otherwise exploit material beyond the permission actually granted by the person sharing it or by applicable law.

The Card moves. Ownership does not silently move with it.

5. Permission to Operate

When you deliberately enter a composition, you give Composium the limited permissions necessary to perform the service you requested.

That may include permission to process your submitted material, operate the composition, use configured infrastructure and artificial-intelligence providers, produce the resolved composition, generate the Card, process payment, and perform later actions you explicitly request.

That permission is functional. It is not a transfer of ownership. It is not an unrestricted license to use your material for unrelated purposes. It does not become authority over material you did not bring into the composition.

It does not continue beyond the purposes and crossings that actually require it, except where retention or processing is separately justified by deliberate custody, security, transaction records, law, or another explicit relationship.

The detailed processing rules belong in Privacy and Conditions. The detailed movement rules belong in Conduct.

Except where otherwise stated, original Composium material is protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual-property law.

Nothing in this notice claims copyright over material that belongs to a composer or another rights holder.

Composium claims its work. You keep yours.

7. The Ownership Boundary

The ownership boundary runs in both directions.

Composium does not need to own your composition in order to conduct it. You do not need to own Composium’s instrument in order to use it.

That separation is intentional. It is what allows something to pass between a person and an instrument without collapsing them into one another.

Because Composium knows what belongs to Composium, it can receive what belongs to you without absorbing it.

Your composition is yours.
Composium’s instrument is Composium’s.
What passes between us does so deliberately.

Terms governs the relationship and transaction.
Privacy governs personal and compositional data.
© 2026 Composium marks the ownership center.
Conditions governs how composition may exist and be held inside the instrument.
Conduct governs how resolved composition may move.
